Evergreen is an unincorporated census-designated place in western Jefferson County, Colorado, set in the foothills of the Front Range about 19 miles west of Denver. It lies within the Denver-Aurora-Centennial metropolitan area and was first settled in 1859, when the area was still part of the Territory of Kansas; the community takes its name from the evergreen forest that surrounds it. A post office opened in 1876, and the town remains home to the Colorado Blue Spruce Monument honoring the state tree. The 2020 census counted roughly 9,300 residents.
